On September 2024, The Weeknd - the global superstar who first captivated audiences on YouTube more than a decade ago and boasts over 35 million subscribers to his channel to date – made a triumphant return to the platform for a one-night-only livestream concert experience from the sold-out Estádio MorumBIS, in São Paulo, Brazil.

To promote the show, Google DeepMind helped create a trailer - directed by YZA Voku - offering a compelling preview of a new song and features a series of AI-generated images

My role on this project was to lead Google DeepMind’s creative effort to support the Weeknd’s team with the creation of unique video sequences made with our advanced video model, Veo.
